Dan's Thoughts

So, Heather wrote a bit, very articulate, isn't she?

I am sitting bed side with mom. She is quite a trooper. Not much to say right now, Heather said a lot. Remembering dad dying in 2000, lots of the same signs/appearances.

Everyone, thanks so much for your continued prayers and support as mom makes this transition into the new next stage.

Peace,
Dan

Hi Dan and Heather
This is Dee Nolan, a friend of your Mom's from the library. Just want you to know that my prayers are with you all. We have been through similar situations in our family and it is very tough. Just spend as much time as you can with her as those times are so special. All you can do is let her know how much she means to you and how you appreciate what she has done for you. Dan, she raised a wonderful young man and now you have a chance to thank her for that. I always say that when someone has to linger a bit before death it is really a blessing to the family in some ways. It gives them all a chance to show and tell each other their thoughts where as if someone dies unexpectedly we don't get to say our good byes.

I've been going to stop at the hospital but just have not had a chance. I would love to stop sometime but I totally understand that right now is not a good time. We'll see if it works later.

We really appreciate you and Heather letting us know what is happening with this blog.

Please tell her Mom "hi" from me and that I am thinking of her.

Thanks and my prayers are with you all that God will give you strength and comfort.

Dan and Heather,
My name is Roberta Spangenberg and I am a friend of your mom's from the library. Last summer when I was diagnosed with breast cancer your mom was there with a glisten in her eye and tons of words of encouragement and prayers. She has a way of putting things in to perspective and always looking at the bright side. Stay strong in your faith and believe that God does everything for a reason.
I have seen your mom several times since her last surgery and she is always so grateful to see people. She has always spoke so highly of both of you.
Stay strong!
God bless!!
Roberta

Dan & Heather,
Thanks for keeping posted on your sad, sad journey. I have worked with your Mom for many, many years - she is a super person. Very caring and kind to all. Linda has a knack for staying in touch with former coworkers and student workers that I know everyone appreciates. She also documents all our events with pictures and scrap books which are a blessing to have.

Please let her know that I have all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Dan and Heather,
Your Mom was one of the first people I worked with closely when I came to the library years ago. She is such a kind and caring person.

Thanks so much for keeping all of us up todate on you Mom.

Blessings to your Mom and both of you. All of you are in my prayers.
